| I love tropical locations... especially the palm trees. I've been doing a lot of Palm Tree paintings lately in preparation for Florida exhibitions. The boat paintings below were inspired by my love of sailing. "Dancer" is my boat. I cruise on her all over the Great Lakes, seeking out unique subjects for my paintings. The Dancer painting shows my boat at anchor at the Benjamin Islands in the North Channel of Lake Huron in Canada. "Agosa" and "Old Mission" are hand-built boats I found at Old Mission Point in Grand Traverse Bay, Lake Michigan. "Desiree" is a classic sailboat I found at anchor in Frankfort, Michigan. The flower studies are brand new pictures I created while working on my entry into the Holland Tulip Time poster competition. |
