The Painting on Location with Bob Fagan TV Series has proven to be a real hit... not only in Michigan, but all over the country. Painting on Location has now aired on over 100 PBS stations with new stations joining every week. The TV series has made Bob Fagan a popular watercolor artist in all the markets where his programs air.

When Bob Fagan and John Leben first began discussing the Painting on Location concept, they each had a different goal in mind. Bob wanted to show the excitement and adventure of an outdoor painting expedition in every episode, including all the wild and unexpected happenings of the day. John thought of the series as being an excellent vehicle for visiting and celebrating some of the most beautiful and unusual places in Michigan. What better way to show off Michigan than through the eyes of an artist. And, thought John, we can also learn a little about the history and attractions of each of the locations Bob paints.

The result of their collaboration is a multi-dimensional TV series... programs that are about adventure and travel as much as they are about watercolor painting. Now these excellent programs are available for libraries and schools to help inspire artists to paint and art lovers to travel and experience the beauties of our landscape.
