Back in the early 2000s I was obsessed with the effects that the ever-changing evolution of technology has on us all. Today, technology is changing faster than ever. By the time we learn to use one "app," a new one arrives or the old one is updated. Our computers and our phones are obsolete the day after we buy them. This collection includes some of the digital paintings I did during that period using only a thin paintbrush tool in Photoshop. You'll also see a lot of "speed tiles" in these paintings, a symbol I used to represent microchips and their profound effects on our lives, and the title and subject of the novel I wrote back in those days.
