14 - Pram Race

Archival-quality limited edition print of a digital painting

I painted this picture in 2010. Where I live in Saugatuck, Michigan, there is a very active sailing program on Lake Kalamazoo (a bulge in the Kalamazoo River leading out to Lake Michigan). Kids learn to sail on these small Optimus Prams. In this picture I captured the excitement of a Pram sailboat race.

Unframed paper prints are on heavy watercolor paper, backed with acid free fome core and packaged in an acetate sleeve. Framed prints have museum-style black aluminum frames behind reflection control acrylic. Canvas prints are treated with three coats of UV protective varnish and framed with the same museum-style black aluminum frames.
