TREE VILLAGE
It’s 100 years in the future. Has mankind finally learned to live in harmony with nature? A village grows in this tree as more and more people seek the security and clean air produced by her leaves. Is there a limit to how many homes she can support? Is mankind, again, being insensitive to the needs and limitations of nature? For now, this tree and it’s residents flourish and live together in a glorious symbiotic relationship.This great tree welcomes mankind to her stout boughs.
I first painted a version of this picture ten years ago. I called it “Tree Town.” Like all of my work, it was a digital painting. The painting was very popular and it sold out in many of the sizes I printed for sale. “Tree Village” is a new digital painting. I revisited the same composition from ten years ago and repainted it in a more spontaneous rendering that gives the picture a more immediate look
